About a decade ago, my niece went "missing." That's all I can really divulge then and now because it is an ongoing investigation.
However, I wanted to give somewhat of an update for the people that showed so much support.
Three people have been arrested and are awaiting sentencing and trial for her murder. There is still one more who needs to be charged, but this feels like a small measure of justice.
They have walked free every day knowing what they did to her.
We, her loved ones, both friends and family, have had to swallow that injustice for a decade knowing it was foul play and that they had zero remorse.
When they are convicted, I will share more details.
Thank you to all who showed their support in those painful early days. Whether it was by posting a message or by the ones who reached out to me privately. You all have no idea how hard that time was or how much it meant to me to have that online Army at my back.

What a terrible situation but I am glad you all are getting some peace and closure and sense of justice.
I imagine this also brings all the feelings up again, so it is both painful and a relief at the same time.

Be good to yourself as you navigate all this. And celebrate this small victory.
